2-Year-Old Assaulted at the Dollar Store

36-year-old Eugene Ramos was arrested for attempting to sexually assault a child in a 99 Cent store. Eugene was already a registered sex offender. Eugene entered the Union City dollar store and attempted to take a 2-year-old girl’s clothes off. Parents, shoppers, and security, were alarmed and called the police. He was in court last week and is expected to make a plea, in mid January.
When I heard this, I was hoping for an explanation. Like, why would you do this?
What prompted you to try and rape a child? And his reasoning is simple: he didn’t take his schizophrenic medication. Now, this particular medication is created to control, any uncontrollable out burst or wild behavior. But this medicine cannot stop impulse or disturbing ideas. Therefore the medicine wouldn’t stop a sexual assault, whether you took it or not.
I think Eugene was stressed and emotionally disturbed. He couldn’t take the pressures of society. He was so used to prison and living in an institution, that he felt helpless in the community. So, as a cry for help he did something so outrageous, that we'd have to put him back in prison. I mean, why else would you attempt a sexual assault on a child, in a crowded store. Most rapists and predators would have probably kidnapped the girl and did the sexual assault in private.
Maybe two years ago, I might’ve been shocked or surprised, but somehow I’m not. I guess I’ve gotten so used to writing about horrible things that it doesn’t bother me. Or this world is just getting out of hand. Life means absolutely nothing, nowadays. Like people could careless who they hurt, abuse, and destroy. It’s a shame, you can’t even take your child to the dollar store.
